his life in service to our country in Salerno, Afghanistan on 10 July 2010.
Joey grew up in Wildwood, was a faith-filled member of Wildwood Presbyterian Church, a Warren Township High School Graduate, a Cub, Boy and Venture Scout with Troop 672 in Wildwood. He was a treasured friend and a loving family member. He is a hero to his nation, and also to the friends and family that will always miss and remember him.
In honor of Joey, Justin Koch started the Joey Dimock Memorial Golf Outing as the fundraiser for his Eagle Scout Project. Justin erected a memorial to Joey at Willow Point Beach in Wildwood, IL. The first outing was held in August of 2011. The golf outing has continued to raise funds to complete service projects in honor and remembrance of Joey for local veterans who are in need of assistance.
